The Intrastat System is a collection of all the procedures that guarantee the fulfilment of two important functions:
- Tax control over intra-EU exchanges of goods and services completed by national operators with the rest of the European Community
- Statistics on the exchange of goods completed by national operators with the rest of the European Community.
